The Reach-it SHOCK-STOP handle is a safety-insulating Kevlar handle designed to protect against electrical hazards when working with carbon fiber poles and to serve as an additional extension. Kevlar is both very lightweight, very rigid, and completely non-conductive, making it an ideal material for working near power lines or in hazardous environments.
It can also be used as an additional section of approximately 1.5 m that slides onto the handle of Reach-It poles (Warrior, Pro, Tactical, Mini) and is secured with the hose clamp. It can be permanently mounted on the pole, or stored separately and added only when additional protection or increased reach is required.
This handle is high-voltage tested (up to 10,000 V for several minutes without breaking) and is a key component of Reach-It's safety range. In addition to reducing the risk of electrocution, it increases the reach of the pole while maintaining a very low weight, thus improving operator comfort and safety.
